Since my PSU died on my main comp, I'm playing on the lanbox. Just installed win7 Ult. P4 3ghz, 2GB DDR2 800 ram, 8800GT (drivers up to date).
Settings: cl_updaterate 100 cl_cmdrate 100 rate 25000 cl_interp 0.01 fps_max 100 heapsize set to 1gb All graphics settings are low/off @ 800x600
Getting: In: ~103/s Out: 30-60/s Choke: 0 Loss: 0 Fps: 30-60
Fps and out are roughly the same.
I've played with this same setup forever (before I got a new comp). I used to get consistent 150 fps with medium settings at a high resolution. Only thing I can guess is it's something to do with Windows 7. Ideas?

Nope... I went over everything I could think of like 5x before I posted. Disabled firewall also.

Have you tried using older drivers? I haven't looked in a while but sometimes brand new ones don't work as well with the older cards.

I thought about trying that. Checked nvidia's site but all I found was 196.21 I'll look into it more later. Evidently this is a very common problem for alot of win7 users. I've tried 3-4 different solutions but none worked.
